At the recent Nigeria International Book Fair held at Harbour Point Event Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos; the book and the entire project around it were applauded by participants for being a grand example for Nigerian authored books.
The Law
Amongst admirers of the book was no mean an individual than Ms. Idongesit Akpabio. She is an official from the Legal deposit Department of the National Library of Nigeria. She appreciated the work of Mr. Oto-Obong Uwah while browsing through the exhibition event.
She had earlier insisted that it was a requirement of the law for authors to deposit copies of their books with the National Library. By this statement, she re-echoed calls made throughout the event, aimed at enlightening Nigerian authors and book dealers on critical steps they were obligated to follow in marketing their works.
The Debut
The 2022 edition of this fair marked the debut of the Ibibio Nation book on the national literary exhibition shelf.
